About this artwork

The title of this piece of art loosely translates to "The Take-Off". Its heavy texture was made by carving thick layers of pure Walnut oil paint with a palette knife, gradually building the relief up to an inch high, giving its bold impressionistic composition a peculiar tactile quality that possess a distinctive depth, structure and movement.
